We've made it - 100 posts. I've had fun and learned some new things and hope you have too.
As promised I'm going to have a giveaway to celebrate. I have selected several books that we have talked about in our Library Time series. You can pick the one you want. So, how to earn entries. Anyone, who leaves a comment on this post will get an entry. Also, I have recently made four style changes to the blog. You can have an extra entry for every change you correctly identify. One more entry can be earned by commenting on one more post between now and October 10th when the giveaway ends.
If you recall, this has been hands down the favourite book of all our toddlers. We are on our fourth copy and really need a new one.
The volume I picked for this is actually one that has four Virginia Lee Burton books in it including Mike Mulligan.
I had to have legos in here somewhere.
Which will you choose? Thanks to all of you who read my blog. I really appreciate it.
I HAVE enjoyed reading your posts and I think what I have learned the most is that you are an amazing woman who loves her family more than anything else. You are living your dream and not many people can say that. I'm proud of you and I love you. Okay...for changes...I'm not sure of the fourth. I would love to have a copy of the Lego book because all the kids would love it! I know Teddy liked reading your copy when we were there! ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joy. I often tell people I'm living my dream when they comment on the fact that I have eight children, and I agree - not many people can say that.
DeleteP.S. I edited your comment because I want to keep the changes secret for now. ;) Anyway, you got two right.
How fun! Congratulations on reaching 100! :-)
ReplyDeleteAs for style changes... I think... I didn't pay enough attention before to see any other changes.
I know my boys would like the Lego book, but I think I'd prefer The Lost Prince.
Thanks, Wanda. You got one of the changes right. My sister missed it and she's been reading me from the beginning. :)

Ooh, congratulations on 100 posts!! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I've never really seen your blog before, so I don't know about any changes. If I won, I'd love The Puritans.
I really like this blog- I will definitely be coming back! :)
Welcome and thank you, Miss Jane Bennet. I've seen your comments on "Ramblings of a Janeite" so I feel like I know you a little already. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are such a great blogger! I have really enjoyed your posts! Wow, 100?! I can't say I've read every single one, but I will from now on. As for style changes...Congrats on such a great blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Amber. I'm glad you've enjoyed the blog. I've had fun doing it. You got two of the changes.

only 2?! Darn!
DeleteYes, but at least it still earned you two entries. :)
DeleteCongratulations on your 100th post. I love reading your posts on healthy eating, having a big family, staying at home & homeschooling life. I think you are a great blogger because you have the gift to touch the heart in a special way. I cried reading your posts School & Grace, One of the wonderful man in my life & taking care of 'the least of these'. I laughed reading your post on your big family & the comments you get from people. I hope you will continue with this blog. I am looking forward to more great post from you. As for the changes...I'd love the First 1000 words if I win please : )
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rowena. I'm glad this blog is an encouragement to you. That inspires me to keep on going. I know your littles would love First 1000 Words.

I'm hoping that the third time is the charm! I tried TWICE last night to post on here but since I was using my phone - I might have done something wrong! hahaha
ReplyDeleteAs for your son - I can tell you that he hasn't done TONS of reading while at our house but he DID read "Surviving Hitler" by Andrea Warren and said it was good. I'm going to read it next! :)
Love you Sis and you are doing a great job on this blog. I have downloaded a sample of Jack Cavanaugh's book, "The Patriot" on my phone to read - you have peeked my interest LOL
So, Julie, so far you're the only person to get all FOUR changes. You cracked me up when you said you found SIX. Way to go!
