Happy Thanksgiving

I can't believe Thanksgiving has come and gone. We look forward to it all year, and it feels like it's over in the blink of an eye.

I am so thankful for so many things. First, my salvation, of course, because without Jesus life is empty. I'm thankful for my wonderful husband and beautiful children, my parents and sisters, my church family, my health...I could go on and on. God has been so good to me. He has given me so many of the desires of my heart.

I thought I'd give you a little peak into our day. We had a wonderful day together as a family.

still waking up at breakfast

doing some catching up on "brother" time after a three-week separation

She's becoming my right hand in the kitchen - she loves helping.

Caught!

more awake now

We tried something different this year. We put all of the main dishes in the kitchen buffet style so I could have room to decorate the table.

Family time - the best

Something I'm very thankful for this year - a new mixer from my wonderful husband.

"I'm not looking at the camera, Mommy." I love this little guy. He has grown up so much since last Thanksgiving. He has been my most challenging child, but he is incredibly sweet (when he's in a good mood~wink).

We ended our day with a walk to the park, then over to Timmies for a muffin. I love these times we spend together as a family storing up memories.

How was your Thanksgiving? Or if you haven't celebrated it yet what are your plans for making it special?

  1. Thanksgiving - yummy time of year and great time to reflect on all we are thankful, for. Ours will come in November but I can start my thankfulness early - can't I?
We are thankful for our children and I'm most thankful for a godly husband who LEADS in our home.
I'm also most thankful for two wonderful sisters :) because we are more than sibs - we are friends :)
Of course, I'm most and most thankful that Ethan and I have formed a special bond. Love ALL my nieces and nephews but Ethan - he is just super special :) Love these blogs - makes me smile :)

  2. Yes, we are friends, Julie. Siblings have such a special relationship. I'm enjoying watching it develop in my children. Ethan reciprocates your love. :) I knew you'd enjoy a couple of pictures of him today.
